What Does it Mean to be Weight Neutral?

The weight-neutral approach acknowledges that body weight is determined by a complex set of genetic, metabolic, physiological, cultural, social, and behavioral determinants, many of which individuals cannot change. Instead of focusing on a weight-oriented outcome, participants in weight-neutral programs are taught to take charge of the factors they can, such as thoughts and behaviors, which ultimately lead to improved well-being, regardless of weight.

Freedom from Diets – And So Much More!

FREEDOM. What an incredible feeling! In my last post, I shared a personal story about the discovery of mindful eating and the freedom and health it has brought to my own life. Through our work with mindful eating in the corporate wellness arena today, we have a tremendous opportunity to help others from a wide spectrum of organizations experience the many freedoms mindful eating can bring.
