The Gift of Awareness
Mindlessness is a challenging habit to break because we’re, well, mindless!
Your first exercise is to create some type of visual reminder to prompt your awareness wherever you eat. Some ideas:
- Create a place card that says Love What You Eat!
- Use an unfamiliar decorative item to catch your attention, such as a candle or a centerpiece.
- Tie a ribbon around a fork and place it above your plate.
- Create a “speed bump“ in your meal.
