Welcome Home, Weary Dieter

By Charlene Rayburn
  • weary dieterAre you feeling exhausted and defeated from dieting?
  • How many diets have you tried?  Can you even remember all of them?
  • Which diet have you started and restarted over and over, maybe every Monday?
  • How many years have you tried to lose weight?
  • Do you know that dieting isn’t working, but just don’t know what else to do?

Imagine this: Connecting with people who genuinely understand your struggle with eating because they’ve been there. Imagine feeling hopeful when you learn that they finally found a better way—a way that offers kindness, compassion, and a sensible path to wellness.

For me, it was like coming home. I felt so understood and hopeful. It just made sense. What I had been doing was not working, and the Am I Hungry?®  program offered clear steps to stop doing what I was doing, and even more important, taught me what to do instead.

I knew almost instantly that I would never diet again. Instead, I began to listen to my body and my inner wisdom; and I started practicing self-care and mindful eating. The healing of my mind, body, and soul began immediately. And it continues.

My relationship with food has changed; I no longer feel guilty when I eat or out of control because I can’t stop. In the past, I had to coax and bribe myself to exercise. Now, I look forward to it! I no longer have the degrading habit of comparing my body, my behaviors, and my food choices with others. It truly is like returning home after traveling many arduous miles.

Please click on the Home tab on the new and beautiful www.AmIHungry.com website and join me on a peaceful, comforting journey to optimal health and self-love.

P.S. I also invite you to read my blogs. I started in September 2012, the month I discovered Am I Hungry? My first entry was Coming Home! I would also love to hear about your experiences, so please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
