Toasted Angel Food Cake with Strawberries and Fresh Whipped Cream
by Chef Owen May and Dr. Michelle May
Chef Notes
Toasting angel food cake gives it a light, crispy texture. You can toast it in a toaster or use your broiler, outdoor grill, or tabletop grill. A grill-marked dessert is an unexpected treat at the end of a cook-out! (Warning: Once you taste fresh whipped cream and see how easy it is to make, you will never buy the pre-made stuff again!)
Health Notes
Fresh fruit is a great dessert but it is really special with toasted angel food cake and fresh whipped cream. (Warning: Once you taste fresh whipped cream and see how easy it is to make, you will never buy the pre-made stuff again!)
