Badger’s Story: Food wasn’t my problem; it was my symptom

Michelle May

Larick-and-Badger-Zanzibar

After Stephanie (everyone calls her Badger) attended an Am I Hungry? mindful eating retreat, she had a huge aha:

Food wasn’t my problem; it was my symptom.

You see, Badger was in a difficult marriage, and food was helping her through. It wasn’t until she realized that food was providing comfort and distraction that she was finally able to develop the courage to break free.

But it didn’t happen overnight. And that isn’t the end of this story!

Listen as Badger and Michelle May talk about how Badger’s journey led her to Tanzania…

Badger’s Story

Life is an adventure

In this interview, you’ll learn about Badger’s interesting journey all the way to Tanzania, Africa.

As promised in the interview, here is the beautiful photo of Badger and Larick on their wedding day. Can’t you just see the joy?

As a result of the transformation Badger experienced, she and her husband Larick who owns Dirty Freedom Adventures, invited us to offer an Am I Hungry? Retreat in Tanzania.

It included 2-days of Mindful Eating Workshops and cultural experiences in Arusha, an indescribable 6-day Safari, a challenging one-day Kilimanjaro Trek, and a beautiful Zanzibar spice island adventure.

It was the trip of a lifetime! (Read Lessons from Tanzania.)
