Mindful Eating Virtual Coach App in Apple and Android

By Michelle May, M.D.

Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Virtual Coach AppWe are so excited to announce that the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Virtual Coach App is now also available for Android, in addition to iPhone and iPad!

The Mindful Eating Virtual Coach is a powerful decision-making tool that guides you through the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Cycle. Unlike health apps that require you to look up food items, log calories, or record activity, the Mindful Eating Virtual Coach is an “inside-out” approach to eating and physical activity.

Whenever you feel like eating, simply click, “I want to eat” and the app will guide you through the mindful eating process step by step. You’ll learn and practice mindful eating skills such as:

  • how to identify signals of hunger and fullness
  • recognize “head hunger”
  • ask yourself a series of questions for deciding what to eat
  • tune-in to the multisensory experience of eating.

I designed and developed this app based on the proven processes used in our Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Programs. This app is also a great companion to my book series Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat for individuals struggling with yo-yo dieting, emotional eating, binge eating, diabetes, and/or who have had bariatric surgery.

We’ve heard wonderful comments about the app since it was released for Apple products last year (from iTunes). We also heard from many of you that you wanted the app in Android too! It was JUST released today and can now be downloaded from the Google PlayStore. It is just $2.99 (and no monthly fee)!

Our programs,  training, books, and now this helpful app exist to help end futile yo-yo dieting and resolve mindless and emotional eating. I hope you’ll check it out and let me know what you think!

The app sounds like what I need. I need answers and direction available at my finger tips. I think this will guide my thinking in the right direction.
