My husband Owen is a Kiwi (that’s what they call people from New Zealand) and I have in-laws in Brisbane and Cairns, Australia. We also have Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Facilitators in Australia where the mindful eating, non-diet, HAES® approach is rapidly growing!

I have been invited to do a webinar hosted by Dietitian Connection based in Australia. Maree, the founder of Dietitian Connection attended my keynote presentation at the Dietitians of Canada National Conference in Toronto this summer and invited me to share this practical approach to mindful eating via webinar.* This webinar is especially geared toward health professionals but everyone is welcome. Also, since it is web-based, you may attend from anywhere in the world.

Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Cycle: How to Break the Eat-Repent-Repeat Cycle

Presenter: Dr. Michelle May is the founder of Am I Hungry?® Mindful Eating Programs and Training and author of the Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat book series for yo-yo dieting, diabetes, bariatric surgery, and binge eating. 

Description: People who struggle with a difficult love-hate relationship with food crave a positive, rational approach to eating. This session will deconstruct the Mindful Eating Cycle and explore the bio-psycho-social drivers of each decision point. You’ll learn a powerful and universal approach to the complex issues contributing to problematic eating behaviors and six unconventional strategies that promote the fearless and mindful enjoyment of food.
